All video clips have been edited down to a bit rate of 512 kbps for comparison purposes. The 512 bit rate was chosen because that is the average uninterrupted feed rate that the satellite service that I use can dependable stream without excessive buffering time.

The videos I upload to my website are generally for viewing by myself, friends, and family.

I am a self taught novice/amateur. If these comparisons are not apples to apples for some reason that I do no understand, please feel free to let me know and hammer me as is appropriate.

I do not know if these comparisons would be the same if made at the highest resolution each camera is capable of. My only interest is at the 512 kbps feed rate.
